I have been looking for this racket since i got myself the K-Factor six.one tour. I fell in love with box beam rackets and I got to have them all! ALL!

Prince Graphite Oversize

There were various releases of the Prince Graphite since it first hit the market around 1978. The list below is the various incarnation of the classic that was made famous by Agassi and Chang.


POG 1 = Tear dropped shaped head single line with no grommets/no bumper and no printing on top or side or racket (possibly just sticker) except for Prince/graphite- circa 1978

POG 2 = Tear dropped shaped head, single line with grommets/no bumper no printing on top or side or racket (possibly just sticker) except for Prince/graphite- circa 1980?

POG 3 = Normal shaped head, single line with grommets and bumper, printing on side is "graphite series 110" top has no printing front is Prince/Graphite. Printed stringing weight is 70-80 - Circa 1983

POG 3.5 = Same as 3 but side says "graphite 110", String weight 60-75
Circa ?

POG 4 = Norm head, 4 line with grommets/bumper, printing on side is "graphite 110", top is "110" , side sticker says "series 110" front is Prince/Prince- , Printed stringing weight is 60-75 - Circa 1987

POG 4.5 = Same as POG 4 but top is printed "oversize", side is "graphite oversize" , front is Prince/Prince, printed stringing weight is 50-60 -
Circa > 1987 (any ideas?)

POG 5 = Straight shaft-Not sure of OS had straight shaft?

POG 6 = Tour

The one in my hands is the POG 4.5. It is a beauty. Condition 8/10.

The paintjob is almost perfect, bar a few small chips of paint here and there, barely noticeable. What a way to start 2012 with!

Original should come in Leather Grip. Warranty card should be in English.

If a deal is too good to be true, it usually is. RM250 for a NEW K-Factor 6.1 Tour? Unbelievable.

Let me get straight to the point why this is a fake racket.

- 5 string holes in the PWS area. Original only have 4.
- In the second picture, grip comes in white. Original should come in leather grip.
- In the second picture, the warranty card is printed in chinese. MAJOR telltale sign of a fake.
- Warranty card also spotted the nCode logo. This is a K-Factor racket, not a nCode racket.
- There are 2 versions of the Original K6.1T, the US version at 340g (unstrung) and the Asian version at 320g (unstrung), and since we are in Asia, the racket should come in the 320g variety. Furthermore, the Original would not have "Made in China" printed beneath the silver Wilson.com logo.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

LEAD TAPE BASICS

Lead tape comes in 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch widths. 1 inch of 1/2 inch wide lead tape weighs .5 grams (1 inch of 1/4 inch lead tape weighs .25 grams). If adding small amounts of weight, it’s best to either cut the 1/2 inch tape in half (lengthwise) or use 1/4 inch tape. This width fits nicely between the existing grommets and the frame edge. If adding substantial weight inside the rim, it’s more convenient to remove the grommet strips and/or bumper, use 1/2 inch wide lead tape and punch holes with an awl to accomodate the grommets. If using this method, be sure to punch the holes from the opposite side and snip off the punched pieces of lead to avoid having them come loose inside the frame. Finish making the holes from the grommet side and replace the grommet/bumper.

Swingweight

How do you measure swingweight?

To determine swingweight, you must swing the racquet or put it into a machine that does so. You can't determine swingweight just by holding the racquet still. The easiest method to measure swingweight is with a commercial machine such as those made by Babolat, Pacific, or Alpha. These machines measure how difficult it is to swing the racquet around an axis located 3.94 inches (10 cm) from the butt-end of the handle. The end of the racquet at your wrist would be a more logical location for the axis, but it has become the industry standard to measure at the 10-centimeter mark because that is the easiest location for the machines to swing a racquet.

Why is swingweight important?

Of all normally measured racquet parameters, swingweight might be the most important factor in the feel and performance of a racquet. It takes into account the weight, the distribution of the weight, and the torque necessary to accelerate a racquet of given weight distribution. It is an indicator of feel, maneuverability and power. A higher swingweight has more power at the same swing speed. However it is also more difficult to accelerate the racquet up to that speed. If you cannot maintain racquet speed at the increased swingweight, you will actually lose power. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you are a big serve and volley player, you might want a lower swingweight racquet so you can generate lots of head speed for the serve and have maximum maneuverability at the net. If you are a baseliner and can generate plenty of racquet speed at any swingweight, then a higher swingweight might be for you.

When you are thinking about the sometimes confusing difference between balance and swingweight, remember this: a 10 gram racquet and a 350 gram racquet can both have the same balance point, but their swingweights will be radically different. "Head-light" and "head-heavy" therefore don't mean anything unless you are comparing racquets of the same weight. If they are different weights, only the swingweight will tell you which is more powerful and which more maneuverable. A head-light racquet can have a higher swingweight than a head-heavy racquet and therefore be more difficult to swing. That is why swingweight is the most reliable indicator of how a racquet will swing and feel.

How do you change swingweight?

First, you cannot (without drastic measures) lower a racquet's swingweight). That is why it is best to buy a racquet that is lighter than you will ultimately play with, because just about all customizations, whether they be for balance, swingweight, or twistweight, will increase the weight of the racquet. You increase swingweight by adding lead tape anywhyere along the length of the racquet, on either side of the pivot point. The pivot point is typically considered to be 3.94-inches up from the buttcap, under the knuckle of your first finger, but it can be a different distance from the butt cap if you grasp the racquet farther up on the racquet or farther down toward the butt cap. The farther away from the pivot point you add the lead tape, the more the swingweight will increase. Or conversely, the farther away from the axis you add weight, the less you have to add to achieve any desired increase.The 3 and 9 o'clock positions (usually the widest points on the head) are the most popular positions to add weight because that will also maximize twistweight (stability).

Recently got my stringing done somewhere in Subang Jaya, and the result is not too impressive. There were notches on the string, most likely being caused by one of the flying clamps used.
